OMNIA MUTANTUR, NIHIL INTERIT.

Having recently returned back to rural Appalachia after decades spent in New York City, Stockholm, & Los Angeles, I am an artist and Methodist pastor currently living and working in the village of Conesville, Ohio.

My work attempts to return the everyday world to its mysterious, spiritual state. I create works on canvas without paint, using only materials that appear spent and useless, in ways that conjure unexpected results when combined.

We often think of the material and spiritual worlds as being separate from – and indeed opposite of – each other. I’m interested in resurrecting what is spiritual from what appears dead, in reawakening sleeping little miracles in the mundane.
