OMNIA MUTANTUR, NIHIL INTERIT.
I am an artist and Methodist Pastor currently living and working in the towns of Westchester and Lancaster in Pennsylvania.
As a Pastor, I am deeply involved in community ministry, especially teaching and working with recovering addicts, those returning from carceral environments, the unhoused, and others on the margins of societal power structures.
As an artist, my work attempts to reintroduce the everyday world to its naturally mysterious, spiritual state. I create works on canvas without paint, using only materials that appear spent and useless.
We often think of the material and spiritual worlds as being separate from – and indeed opposite of – each other. I’m interested in resurrecting what is spiritual from what appears dead, in reawakening sleeping little miracles in the mundane.
I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Giancarlo Ditrapano Foundation for Literature and the Arts.
